While it is feeling a little chilly for August and looking a tad too cloudy for our liking, the forecast for the weekend is looking fantastic…and just in time for the Wicomico County Fair! The three day event will take place August 14, 15 and 16 at Winterplace Park in Salisbury, with an eclectic mix of activities and exhibits slated, including a car show, livestock shows, live music, games and more.
If the Wicomico County Fair sounds like a new event to you, that’s because it sort of is. The Wicomico Farm & Horse Show decided to restructure their event this year, partnering with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to expand the 79 year fair traditions of Wicomico County. The restructured event will also incorporate activities from the former Chicken Festival. Livestock exhibits, educational poultry exhibits, firemen competitions, food, free kids activities, and even a five-foot fry pan will round out the event schedule, with events and activities for all ages:
