This past Saturday we headed to Milford for the much anticipated release party for Threat Level Purple at Mispillion River Brewing. Threat Level Purple is an Imperial IPA with a malty sweetness and an intense hop bitterness and aroma. This beer is made for savoring, not speed, with an ABV of 11%.

The release party was a huge success. The brewery didn’t open until noon but there was already a line of 50 people around the building at 11 AM. The visiting food truck, Out Of The Ordinary, was such a hit, that they sold out of food and had to leave before dinner time arrived.

If you’ve never been to Mispillion River, you are missing out. The brewery always has a plethora of beer styles on tap; from IPAs to red ales to sour beers to special barrel-aged offerings. Regardless of your preference, you are sure to fall in love with one of the many beers available. The brewery also has a patio, complete with fire pit, so you can enjoy the nice evening weather (when it’s not 95 and humid, that is). They also often have live music on weekends. The brewery is very active in social media, so be sure to follow them to stay informed on upcoming events.
