It’s the season of giving. And, while and people across Delmarva are digging deep to give local charities a helping hand, many of us forget about our “furry friends” at area shelters! For folks in Worcester County, helping those pets-in-need, just got a little easier (not to mention fun)!
You can take a break from your busy day on Wednesday, December 14th and head over to Chipotle in West Ocean City. Between the hours of 2:00 – 9:00 p.m., 50% of the money you spend on lunch (or an early dinner) will go directly to the Worcester County Humane Society. No that wasn’t a typo – 50%! The restaurant is located at 12909 Ocean Gateway, and you must mention to the cashier that you are there for the fundraiser. Be sure and take a few friends!
Then, on Saturday you get another opportunity; this time, in Berlin! There aren’t any burritos involved, but you should definitely bring your yoga mat! From 3:00-5:00 p.m., Zenna Wellness Studio located at 10 South Main Street will host a “Deck the Paws” yoga class! This class is unique because participants will practice yoga alongside adoptable, cuddly, playful kittens from Worcester County Humane Society. This class, with Chrissy Ehrhart, is a donation based class with ALL proceeds going directly to the care of the many animals at the no kill shelter. The class is open to ages nine and older and no prior yoga experience is required (minors must have a parent present). Space is limited & this class is expected to fill up quickly.
