Get your motors ready because it’s *aboat* to be a wavy ride! Brew River’s 11th Annual Boat Docking Competition is approaching and believe us when we say this boat docking competition is going to be an event to remember! Brew River’s 11th Annual Boat Docking Competition takes place on September 22, 2018 at Brew River in Salisbury, MD. Why not kick off the first day of Autumn with this off the hook event?!

Doors open at 11 am for spectators and guests and the official competition starts at 1 pm! To enter the competition there is a $10 admission fee so be sure to bring some extra cash!  If you’ve never been to a boat docking competition, it works like this…

Chesapeake Cowboys’ captains drive their boat full throttle to get to point A to point B in as little time as possible. Not only do they have to dock their boat in the fastest time possible, but they also have to manage to execute a proper tie/lasso to complete their turn. There are some boaters participating that have been doing this for years. On the contrary, there will be rookies as young as ten years old competing!

Of course, no event would be complete without delicious food and drinks! Brew River is hosting a Captain’s Party on September 21 to have some fun before the big day! Brew River has amazing and scrumptious adult beverages, appetizers, and entrees that you can enjoy while watching some *cray-sea* competition, too.

This is the first time in all of the years Brew River’s Boat Docking competition will take place the same weekend as Sunfest which also has great live entertainment, concession stands, and more! Why not enjoy all of the fun before the colder weather approaches?

We highly recommend attending the boat docking competition because it’s the perfect tradition for the Eastern Shore. Captain Paul Jones has been competing for 37 years and if that doesn’t scream dedication, we don’t know what will.

For more information, be sure to check out Chesapeake Cowboys’ site here, as well as Brew River’s! We’ll see you there!
