Chincoteague Island Pony Swim

Wednesday, July 25 marks the 93rd Annual Chincoteague Pony Swim! The Saltwater Cowboys will swim the ponies from Assateague to Chincoteague between 8 and 10 am. The swim will take place at slack tide, 30 minutes between tides when there is no current. Slack tide is the easiest time for the ponies to swim across the Assateague Channel.
