Learn the ancient art of Batik! This is a was-resist and dye process usually done on cloth. We will experiment with wax application techniques on cotton and oriental papers. Basic color and mixing dyes for dye baths, and wax removal methods will also be covered. Students should complete 2-3 small Batiks in the 3 day workshop. No art experience needed.
