The Worcester County Arts Council is proud to award $9,550 through the Community Arts Development Grants program to 9 art projects and events to be presented by local nonprofit arts organizations during the 6-month granting cycle beginning January 1, 2014. The Worcester County Arts Council’s Community Arts Development Grants Program is designed to assist local community based groups to produce and present arts activities in Worcester County and is funded and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council. In the Fiscal Year 2014, the Arts Council Awarded a total of $20,000 to local organizations through the program.

Assateague People of Delmarva: 21 Annual Drums on Pocomoke
Berlin Intermediate School: ArtFest 2014
Community Church of Ocean Pines: Worcester County Choral Workshop & Concert
Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra: Symphony Performances
Ocean Pines Children’s Theater: “The Little Mermaid Jr.”
Pines Tones Chorus: Spring 2014 Concert Series
Town of Ocean City Recreation & Parks: Children’s Art Workshops at Art’s Alive
Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art: Carving Competition & Art Festival
Worcester Chorale: Spring Concert of “Birth & Renewal”
Worcester County Library Foundation: Ballet Theater of Maryland – “Pirates of the Chesapeake”
Funding will support a wide variety of creative and innovative projects that are of outstanding artistic quality and demonstrate community benefits enhancing the lives of everyone living and visiting Worcester County. The next grant submission deadline is April 15, 2014.
