Dog lovers rejoice: next week marks the kick-off of the Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show Cluster at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury. Beginning Wednesday, November 9th through Sunday, November 13th, the Talbot Kennel Club, Salisbury Kennel Club and the Mispillion Kennel Club will host five back to back days of premium all breed dog shows. This year’s cluster will also host the AKC Obedience Regional qualifier shows. Do miss all the action as more than 1,000 of the country’s finest dogs and their handlers descend upon Salisbury to compete for top AKC honors. Awards each day feature Best in Show, Juniors, Breed, Rally – and so much more.
The dog shows are open each day from 9 AM to 5 PM and pet lovers, breeders, groomers and the media are all invited to attend! Admission to these family friendly events is just $5.00 for adults, $1.00 for students and children under 5 are free! Remember to leave the family pet at home, no un-entered dogs are permitted, and strollers are allowed.
See some of the most beautiful dogs in the country hit the ring to strut their stuff. New to the shows this year the “Pumi”, recognized this summer by the AKC. This herding breed, originating in Hungary, is described as energetic, lively and ready to work.
