Live Christmas trees can be so fun and romantic. You get to wander around a field, select the perfect specimen, cut it down, bring it home, and decorate it beautifully. As an added bonus, the whole house smells like pine – a sure sign that Christmas time is here.
But, let’s be honest, they can also be a huge pain and after a few weeks the novelty wears off. The cat also enjoys the smell of the tree and decides he or she must sit inside, inevitably knocking it over during the process. After a week or two, the amount of needles you’re vacuuming each day gets larger and larger. And, heaven forbid you get too close to the tree and brush up against it knocking several more handfuls of needles off.
Now, for the 3rd year in a row, 16 Mile Brewery in Georgetown, DE is letting locals take their frustrations out on their trees. All you have to do is fill out the form on 16 Mile Brewery’s website here and they will schedule a time for someone to come pick up your tree.
