Are you interested in volunteering at a local non-profit that conserves the Lower Eastern Shore’s open spaces, natural heritage, and economy? Do you love being outside and exploring the beautiful landscapes? Join the Lower Shore Land Trust on March 17th from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM and learn about our volunteer stewardship program and how Best Management Practices (BMPs) help to protect our waterways and natural wildlife.

This information and training session will provide you with information on our organization, beneficial land management practices, our monitoring program and how you can be involved. The day will be split up between a presentation in the morning followed by field training in the afternoon. The training will teach you how to be a volunteer monitor and what to expect when you are in the field. This training will also teach you about BMPs used on our lands here on the Eastern Shore and how they help keep our waterways clean.

The Lower Shore Land Trust has conserved over 20,000 acres of working farms, wildlife habitat and scenic landscapes. As a small non-profit, we rely on dedicated volunteers and are looking for people like you to help!

Lunch and refreshments provided. Sign up is required and you can do so by calling the Lower Shore Land Trust at (443) 234-5587 or by emailing info@lowershorelandtrust.org.
