If you love bike riding, love Salisbury, and love exciting events, you’re in luck! The November and December Salisbury Bike Parties are on the track to be the most enjoyable events yet. Salisbury’s popular monthly bike rides are social, casual, and easy rides designed for anyone 12 years and older. For anyone younger, you are asked to bring a trailer or tag-a-long.
The November Salisbury Bike partY on Friday, November 9 will be a Glow Ride theme! Gather all of your glow sticks, glow paint, electroluminescent wire, LEDs, and any other party lights you may have! Light up your bike, and get even more creative by lighting up yourself! The ride begins after sunset, so the more lights the better.
Riders will meet at the steps of the Government Building in Downtown Salisbury between 6:30 and 7 pm. The Party will hit the streets at 7 pm.
Typically, the bike ride lasts around two hours, but that is completely weather-dependent. With colder temperatures, everyone usually agrees a shorter bike ride is better! The Bike Party will make a few stops along the way, which all riders are free to do as well, but also have the choice to keep riding. The entire event is weather dependent, so keep an eye on their Facebook pages for posts and updates regarding any cancellations or notices.
This Bike Party happens on the second Friday of every month, so if you are not able to make the November event, don’t worry! The December Salisbury Bike partY will be on Friday, December 14 with the theme of Holiday Lights Tour! The path will be a unique route featuring the best holiday light displays in Salisbury while Christmas music plays on the music trailer. Break out all of your holiday lights, garland, bows, wrapping paper, holiday hats and sweaters, and anything else holiday-related you can find.
The Bike Parties are free to join, so pedal on over to Salisbury for a fun-filled ride!
