Put all of those New Year’s resolutions to work on January 1st and begin your New Year with a hike outside! What began as a national movement by America’s State Parks, all 50 states are now offering free, guided First Day Hike programs on the first day of the New Year!
The guided First Day Hikes are led by knowledgable state park staff and volunteers. The distance and difficulty vary from park to park, but all hikes aim to create a fun experience for the entire family. Hikers of all ages are encouraged to take their time and experience the beauty of the outdoors in a local park as we set forth into 2020.
