Boat docking competitions are quickly becoming an Eastern Shore tradition, and it’s easy to see why! If you’ve missed your chance to see one of these great events in Cambridge, Pocomoke, Crisfield or Deal Island these past few weekends, you have another chance! This weekend, boat docking fun comes to Brew River in Salisbury with their 9th Annual Extreme Boat Dockin’ Contest, and we couldn’t be more excited. Salisbury is not always known for its waterway, so any event based on the Wicomico River always makes us take notice. We love Brew River for their dock bar and coconut muffins, and are ready to experience the excitement of watching the Chesapeake Cowboys showcase their boat docking talents!
The main event is Saturday, September 10th at 1pm. Admission is just $10, and kids 10 and under are free. If you just can’t wait until Saturday, get your boat docking weekend started Friday night at the Captain’s Party at Brew River. Bo Dickerson Band will be playing from 6pm – 10pm, and the competitors will be doing practice runs for Saturday’s competition. This is the last boat docking competition of the season on the Eastern Shore, so don’t miss out!
