Tuesday, March 20 marks the first day of Spring, and Delmarva’s season of warmer temperatures, longer days and blooming buds on the trees is full of exciting events to look forward to. It’s finally time for wine tastings, 5K races, festivals, craft shows and everything Spring!

Marsh Walk at Delaware Seashore State Park

Learn all about the wetlands in Delaware! This program is for ages 4 and up, and only costs $4/person to register.
9th Annual Lewes Tulip Festival

Tulip planting locations are on the Tiptoe To The Tulip Map to help you find out where to see the various types of blooming tulips throughout Lewes, DE! A photography contest and the “Lewes Two-Lips Culinary Week” are also part of the festival.
Spring Clean Up & Community Yard Sale at Northside Park in Ocean City

Everyone needs a little Spring cleaning! Residents, visitors and owners can register to participate in the yard sale to sell unwanted items. Ocean City will also be offering free residential bulk pick-up on April 7-8.
2018 Komen Maryland Ocean City Race for the Cure

As the race village opens at the Ocean City Inlet for the annual Susan G. Komen Race, there will be opening ceremonies beginning at 8:30am, followed by the walk/run at 9am. After the Komen race will be the survivor parade. The fundraising goal is set for $150,000.
First Annual Delaware Firkin Fest

Twelve Delaware breweries will be showcasing Delaware Ales to benefit Ship Hope, the non-profit organization helping people of impoverished islands deal with and break away from poverty. Tickets for the event are available online for $30.
Spring Show at Ocean City’s Convention Center

Find 14K and sterling silver, fashion and handmade jewelry at this year’s Spring Show hosted by Treasures of the Earth. Loose stones, crystals, minerals and more will be available!
Boardwalkin’ For Pets at the Ocean City Inlet

Bring your furry friends to the boardwalk and join in Worcester County Humane Society’s walk for pets. Harrison’s Harbor Watch and Layton’s Family Restaurant will be providing refreshments at the Inlet.

If you can’t make it out to Evolution Brewing to pick up your race packet from 4-8pm the night before the race, pickup is available starting at 6:30am the morning of the race. Race route takes runners along the trails of Urban Greenway, through Salisbury University’s campus, and along Riverside Drive.

Downtown Berlin will fill with free entertainment and music! Wine from the Worcester County Winery Costa Ventosa as well as craft beer from Burley Oak Brewery will be available.
Horseshoe Crab & Shorebird Festival in Milton, DE
