After months of prep-work, the Center for the Arts in Ocean City is ready to unveil its newest addition – and they need your help! This Saturday (June 18th), the Ocean City Center for the Arts at 94th Street bayside in Ocean City is hosting a Community Garden Day & Open House. The festivities will kick-off at 10am with the dedication of the NEW BUTTERFLY GARDEN. Attendees will have the opportunity to help plant native plants specifically selected to attract butterflies (particularly Monarch Butterflies).

Saturdays event is the culmination of the Center’s Family Art Days that began last fall. Since October, children and their families have been learning about different types of gardens and creating art related to them. On Saturday, we will plant an actual garden together and celebrate are, nature and community!

In addition to the chance to plant some of the butterfly-attracting plants in the new garden, there will also be “make and take art stations” – with fun projects free for all ages!

Don’t miss the festivities this Saturday from 10a.m. – Noon! For more information contact the Ocean City Center for the Arts on 94th Street at 410-524-9433.
