Street Style. It’s something generally seen in big cities filled with extravagant events and people who dress ultra-stylish from sun-up to sun-down. That doesn’t mean we can’t feature some stylish folks we spot on the streets of our coastal towns, right? Here are some stylish men spotted last weekend in the Ocean City – Berlin area.

It seems as though the most sought after and hottest male accessory for the past few months, maybe even year, is – in fact – the beard. Yes, you heard correct. Long gone are the days of shaving to a successfuly smooth facial exterior. It seems as though some local men are embracing their inner caveman and growing a bit of rough hair. These guys think of facial hair as an extension of their personality. This style statement ranks highly next to a good hat or a perfect-fitting pair of glasses.
Max Stanley, David Haynes, Chris Maust, and Brian Roberston (pictured left – right) all work at D3 Corp in West Ocean City where an extreme beard-growing challenge is underway. A 4-way beard battle has brewed based upon a wager – who’s buying who lunch? David came up with the idea and the others followed. Max and Brian think that Chris will be the first eliminated since “it’s his first real beard.” The guys are not supposed to trim their beards (it’s in the rules) but speculations are being made that someone’s been trimming recently. Their facial hair definitely is an extension of their bold personalities.
Paisley was incredibly popular during the ‘Summer of Love’ and heavily identified with psychedelic style and spirituality. Paisley has transformed over the past few decades and is considered more preppy now days – especially when done in nautical colors or pastel schemes. It can be considered refined and gentlemanly.
Paisley print is done best in small doses, unless you’re Dave Miller. Over the weekend, Dave wore his navy Vera Bradly paisley suit and paraded around the town of Berlin carrying a large megaphone during the Spring Celebration. He stood confidently in the town’s square and announced planned events throughout the day. Paisley is, by no means, intended for the shy. It’s for characters who have no problem striking up conversations with strangers, want to be bold, and want their clothing to complement their out-going characteristics – just like Dave.
Wayfarer sunglasses have been one of the most sought after and hottest male accessories since they were originally released by Ray-Ban in 1956. These thick framed sunglasses are amongst the most legendary glasses in history.  Paired with denim, a crisp tee, and some nice kicks wayfarers can instantly pack a fashionable punch.
Musician, Troy Mawyer, performed on the front porch of the Atlantic Hotel recently. Troy was looking very suave in his wayfarer shades, zip up black jacket and worn-in blue jeans. There’s nothing quite like a stylish musician barring a guitar.
