Along with bluetooth headsets, one of the most frustrating electronics purchases for me has been an FM Transmitter for my iPod or phone. While some have seemed promising, frequent bouts of static always dash my hopes and drown my tunes. So, with a box full of retired transmitters, it was with skepticism that I went on the prowl again.

To further complicate matters, my need for a new transmitter required this one to be wireless as my 1968 classic car’s cigarette lighter shorted out. Great. That was surely going to make the signal even worse.

I stumbled upon the Scosche FM Transmitter, purchased it and then, certain it would be another dud, immediately began searching for new car stereo systems with built in MP3 jack to cure my frustration for good.

But wait. Just as I lost hope, the unexpected happened… the Scosche actually worked, and it worked great.
