One of our favorite things about the holiday season is the return of holiday movies. For the most part, there are two types of people – those who can watch Christmas movies all year long and those who refuse to acknowledge Christmas movies until the holiday season begins. We fall into the latter category. If Elf comes on in July? We’re quickly changing the channel. Christmas Vacation in February? Well that’s just depressing. Fortunately for us, the holidays are here, and all of our favorite movies are coming off the dusty top shelf. While we love getting cozy on the couch with some hot chocolate, popcorn and a beloved Christmas flick, we also love heading to The Globe Tuesday nights for their holiday movie night.
Every Tuesday night, from November 19 until December 17, The Globe (located in historic downtown Berlin) will be offering free holiday movies starting at 6pm. Reservations are strongly recommended as seats fill up quickly. Here’s what’s on tap this season:
November 19: The Nightmare Before Christmas
November 26: Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
December 3: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
December 10: Frosty the Snowman
December 17: The Little Drummer Boy
While you’re enjoying a free viewing with your family, feast on any of The Globe’s daily specials. The daily soup and grilled cheese combos are a perfect way to warm up on blustery fall evenings. For comfort food, look to the chef’s daily risotto creation. Tonight’s risotto is laden with butternut squash, zucchini, tomato, red onion and Parmesan cheese. Or opt for a classic like the jerk chicken wrap or the seared tuna tacos. And of course there’s always the heartier entrees to consider… crab stuffed portabella, the seafood burrito, and chicken & biscuits, to name a few.
Whether you’re enjoying a sampling of appetizers or indulging in a three-course meal, Tuesday nights at The Globe promises holiday entertainment and festive feasting, all season long.
