Snow Hill is one of those towns that when you enter the Downtown area you feel as if you’ve been transported back in time. Cobblestone streets, local mom and pop stores that they’ve owned for years, beautiful brick buildings…the list goes on and on. Each year the Town of Snow Hill hosts a number of events that are favorites among locals, spurring Delmarva locals and visitors to travel to the southern end of Worcester County.

This year, the town is hosting the first ever, Rock the River Music Festival at Sturgis Park on November 8th. The Town of Snow Hill and the Snow Hill Area Chamber of Commerce expect the day to be filled with tons of fun, great live entertainment, and a smorgasbord of yummy food and drinks. In addition to the music, there will be beer and wine vendors, street performers, and sidewalk sales to really give the event a “festival vibe.”

The bands to perform on the Main Stage include Opposite Directions, Matt Watson Band, Juke Joint Jonny, and Johnny Bling. The event will take place between 12PM and 10PM and will be full of fun for the whole family! The tickets are $10 per person and are available online. The setting is picturesque, located right on the river on a beautiful November afternoon… you can’t beat making Snow Hill history.

In addition to the first inaugural festival, Snow Hill will celebrate its monthly event, First Friday. Merchants around town will stay open until 8PM or later for shoppers to explore their stores and galleries at their own pace while enjoying other things such as art openings, musical entertainment and special discounts. Some of the businesses involved include: American Art Gallery, Adcock Studio Gallery, Blue Dog Café, Harvest Moon Tavern, Miss Patti Cake, The Sassy Girl Boutique, The Serenity Shoppe, Woven Dreams Studio and lots more.

So make a Snow Hill weekend out of it! Attend the First Friday celebration and hang around town for the first ever Rock the River Music Festival Saturday afternoon. With Snow Hill’s signature restaurants and ideal scenery… you’re sure to enjoy all the fall fun you can imagine!
