Over 300 dogs were seized from a Wicomico County home last week, after authorities found the conditions to be ‘unsatisfactory’. According to a press release from the Wicomico County Animal Control, officers conducted a kennel check on a home in Eden, MD last Wednesday, finding 300 dogs, 200 of which were in a barn on the property. It took authorities hours to remove the dogs from the property, most of which are Pomeranians. While no charges have been filed yet, what is certain is that hundreds of dogs are now in need of assistance from the local community. The dogs are being sent to area shelters, with a vast number headed to the Humane Society of Wicomico County. At ShoreBread, we are a firm supporter of our local shelters that provide year-round support to the animals in our community by not only sheltering them, but also by finding them forever homes. As a result of the sudden influx of dogs, The Humane Society of Wicomico County is in need of donations and help from the public. Here’s how you can help:
Canned Kitten/Puppy Food
