The third annual Ocean City Sandfest is just days away…and organizers say this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever!
Be on hand and experience all of the free family fun August 22nd – 28th. The event will feature world class sand sculptors creating giant sand sculptures along the Ocean City boardwalk between North Division Street and 4th Street. There will also be a whole host of family fun activities!
New this year – spectators can vote for their favorite sculpture! Be sure and pick up a ballot at the Sandfest information tent, pick your favorite and drop your ballot back off for your chance to win a prize.
If you’d like to try your hand at creating a one of kind sand sculpture, you won’t want to miss the Sand Sculpting Class at 9 a.m. on Thursday August 25th. Followed by the Family Sculpting Competition at 10 a.m.
You can also get a few pointers on Saturday August 27th, as a master sculptor will give a “Hands in the Sand Demonstration” at 9 a.m. Listen closely to pick up some trick of the trade from some of the most talented sculptors in the world!
Be sure and stop back to the festival area on Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings to see the sculptures like never before at the Sandfest Laser Light show – featuring lasers, lights, music, special effects and more all displayed on a 5 story giant beach ball.
