RehobothFoodie.com, the Cape Gazette, and Jack Lingo REALTOR, have teamed up to combine the smaller restaurant weeks in Delaware’s beach towns into one mega event for the 2017 season. Why? To benefit Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth. The inaugural Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week will kick off on Sunday, June 4th and we couldn’t be more excited! With almost 60 restaurants participating (at the time of publication, the list continues to grow) this event is shaping up to be one epic culinary creation.

Bob Yesbek, of RehobothFoodie.com, told us that this event began as Downtown Rehoboth Restaurant Week. As an event sponsored by Rehoboth Beach Main Street, only restaurants located on Main Street could participate. But, as Bob told us, “there are 50 other amazing restaurants right out on the highway!” The organizers would receive countless phone calls from other restaurant owners who loved what they were doing and wanted to be a part.

So, Bob and Chris Rausch, of the Cape Gazette, joined forces to bring us one mega food extravaganza. “It has been really successful and the restaurants and very excited for this event,” Bob told us. Bob really wanted to make sure that the event benefitted the community, too, so they opted to partner with Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth. Just remember when you dine out during Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week, others in need get to eat, too!

We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again, we love restaurant weeks! Restaurants offer special menus, we get to eat lots of delicious food, and it gives us a good excuse to try all those restaurants on our list. What more could you ask for? Better yet, restaurants from all over Eastern Sussex County are participating; from Milton to Millsboro and Rehoboth to Fenwick, you’re sure to find a great meal nearby. Check out the full list of participants and their menus here on the Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week website.
