If you’re anything like us, summer just isn’t complete until we’ve had steamed crabs.  Throw in a party boat and we’re living right.  Next Saturday, July 29th, the Crab Place in Crisfield will be hosting a Crab & Cruise.  The evening starts on land at the Crab Place, located at 504 Maryland Avenue, where you’ll have two hours with all you can eat crabs, steamed shrimp, ribs, wings, corn, meatballs, hush puppies, french fries and pitchers of beer or soda.  Save room for dessert!  Smith Island cake is also included.

During your meal, meet one of Crisfield’s finest crab pickers, Hurricane Hazel.  Labor Day weekend brings Crisfield’s Annual Hard Crab Derby, featuring a crab picking contest. Those who have been know Hurricane Hazel is a crowd favorite, and has won the contest 16 times to date.  During your meal she’ll be coming around to show you her tips for picking quickly and efficiently.

After your feast you’ll head to the boat.  Choose the upper deck for the dance party, complete with a DJ on board.  For a quieter experience, head to the lower deck and enjoy the sunset cruise.  The 3 hour cruise will feature a raw bar, sodas and water.  Guests are welcome to bring their own adult beverages on board.

Crisfield is known as the Crab Capital of the World, and we can’t think of a better way to experience the town than a crab feast, cruise and gorgeous Crisfield sunset.  If you’re planning a day trip, consider renting a kayak from Janes Island State Park, exploring the J. Millard Tawes Museum or bringing bikes to explore the town’s quiet roads.

The Crab & Cruise is limited to guests 21 years of age and older. Tickets are $114.95 per person, plus gratuity.  You can also opt out of the cruise and enjoy the feast for $69.95 per person, plus gratuity.  Discounts are also available for groups of 25 or more.

The Crab & Cruise on July 29th will feature Oldies Rock & Roll music.  If you miss this party, the next won’t happen until September 2nd, so be sure to get your tickets!  Tickets are available to purchase online.
