The City of Crisfield is a happening place throughout these next few weeks of summer. But don’t worry, the fun won’t stop there. Throughout the Fall, Crisfield will continue hosting events for foodies, artists, and community members! Here are just some of the upcoming events to look forward to and participate in!
W.O.W. Luau & 4th Saturday
July 28th, 4 – 7 pm
Wheels On the Waterfront (W.O.W.) and 4th Saturday are teaming up for the 12th Annual Wheels On the Waterfront (W.O.W.) Cruise-In. Over 175 of Delmarva’s hottest hotrods, coolest classic cars & custom motorcycles will be on display in Downtown Crisfield. To enter a car, call 410-968-2968. This fundraiser will collect money for National Brain Tumor Society in Jenny Tawes Honor. The first 50 guests will receive tropical silk flower leis to brighten up the evening. Support the arts, look good, and have a fun time doing it! There will be various foods including a pig roast. The Hawaiian shirt parade and contest will take place at 6 pm, so wear your brightest prints and patterns. Pets are welcome to participate, too!
Chesapeake Ghost Walk
July 28th, August 18th, 8 pm; September 15th, 7:30 pm
Take a tour of the Corbin Library, Ananias Crockett House, Crisfield Cemetary, and more! Be in front of the Baptist Temple at the corner of Main Street and Somerset Ave 15 minutes prior to the tour. All You Can Eat Seafood
August 4th, 4 – 6 pm
For just $45, you can eat all the seafood you want! At the Crisfield Elks Lodge, enjoy shrimp, clams, mussels, fish, crabs, and a cash bar. The Elks Lodge is located at 120 S. 4th st. Crisfield, MD 21817.
Ward Brothers Workshop Open

Take a visit to the historic Ward Brothers Workshop on Sacketown Road to see where Steve and Lem Ward created their famous decoys.

Bring a notebook, and bring some adult beverages! This casual gathering aims to promote artistic growth in writing and music. Snacks, soda, juices, and water are provided.
Smokin’ on the Dock of the Bay

Come out to Somers Cove Marina to show off your grill skills! Take advantage of the chance to win $10,000!
Captain Tyler’s CrabHouse Feast & Cruise
Feast on Maryland’s Eastern Shore food staples, all you can eat crabs, corn, beer and so much more. Relax by the water in a vintage, rustic crab picking house transformed into a restaurant by Capt. Tyler himself. The Captain will then take you on a 3-hour cruise down the Tangier Sound to see the beautiful islands of the Chesapeake Bay!
4th Saturday Bay Stroll
August 25th, 4 – 7 pm
Get your Christmas shopping in early, or just splurge a little for absolutely no reason! Find custom-made local shirts, photography, paintings and other unique items. Churches and non-profit organizations have been invited to participate in bake sales, and you can too! Bring your favorite Christmas cookies! To participate in the bake sale, email email@example.com.
National Hard Crab Derby
Labor Day Week (August 27th – September 2nd)
Crisfield’s National Hard Crab Derby is an annual Labor Day weekend event. The unique crab-themed festival features crab races, crab cooking, and picking contests. There are also carnival rides, arts and crafts, vendors, live entertainment, beauty pageants, a parade, fireworks, and much more. The Crisfield Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event.
August 30th, 6 pm
Make your bids online here by August 26th to set the prices for the Live Auction! Luckily, there are lots of beautifully painted chairs to choose from. If your online bid exceeds the live bids at Somers Cove Marina, you win the chair!
A Taste of Smith Island
September 15th, 3 pm
For $55, you can take a trip from Crisfield to Smith Island and back along the Chelsea Lane Tyler. Meals featuring crab soup, clam fritters, crab balls, authentic Smith Island cake, and more are also included. Proceeds benefit the Smith Island Cultural Center.
