Join the Eastern Shore Association of Golf Course Superintendents (ESAGCS) as they host their 22nd annual silent auction, picnic, and crab feast August 29th from 10 am to 5 pm at Hog Neck Golf Course.
Registration will begin promptly at 10 am followed by a golf tournament at 10:30. The format for the tournament will be pick you team, four man scramble so come with your best mates! After the golf tournament ends, the tradition Eastern Shore crab feast will begin and patrons will be able to place their bids on silent auction items. The cost to participate in both lunch and golf is $75 and for lunch only $30.
In previous years this event has been very successful due to a substantial amount of vendor support and Superintendent participation. Over $18,000 was generated last year and was donated to various charities that the ESAGCS Board chose to support. The proceeds from this year’s event will go directly to Believe in Tomorrow National Foundation, University of Maryland Turf grass Programs, and many more! With continued support in the form of donations of control products, equipment, and door prizes as well as the assembling of gold packages for the silent auction ESAGCS hopes to exceed last year’s objectives.
For any and all bids that a patron wins, they will be able to choose which organization gets billed as a result. No money will be required the day of however; ESAGCS encourages guests to bid openly in order to support local organizations through this opportunity to give back to the community and industry.
