If you love wine, we’re pretty sure you’ll love this article! It’s finally beginning to feel like fall here on the Eastern Shore, which means it is that time of year for wine festivals. Michael Broadbent once said, “Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures.” What better plans could you have for this weekend than to grab your fellow wine loving friends and head to the Autumn Wine Festival for a fabulous tasting?! This event will be taking place in Salisbury this Saturday and Sunday and they are currently calling for beautiful weather. This event is surely is going to be one for the books!

The Autumn Wine Festival will take place at Pemberton Historical Park on October 21st and 22nd from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be more than a dozen wineries in attendance at the festival this weekend, giving you lots of variety. Plenty of wine to choose from! Included with a tasting ticket is a 6 oz. wine glass for you to enjoy as many tastings as you wish to responsibly. And this year, in honor of Wicomico County’s 150 Year Celebration, a limited edition stemless wine glass will be given to the first 150 tasters through the gate. So be sure to get there early if you want one of these special glasses!

There will also be live music, activities, and vendors all in attendance. Each day there will be three bands performing all different genres of music! Be ready to dance the day away and have an awesome time! Some of the activities taking place at the festival are the Women Supporting Women Partnership, Sports Zone, and Pemberton Hall Tours. The Autumn Wine Festival partners with Women Supporting Women to help those affected by breast cancer in a number of ways. So be sure to stop by their Pink Party Tent where they will have multiple fun and exciting activities! The proceeds of their on-site fundraiser will help to raise awareness, education, and support to those affected by breast cancer. Don’t want to miss the game? No problem! Stroll on over to the Sports Zone where there will be large TVs displaying the games. They will also have games to play including Cornhole, Wall Hooky, Giant Jenga, and many others! Pemberton Hall Tours will also be taking place all throughout weekend. And if you get a bit hungry, there are plenty of food options available. There will be more than a handful of food vendors whipping up some delicious food! There will also be more than twenty craft and commercial vendors in attendance as well! So if you love shopping, there will be plenty of vendors that will catch your eye.

Whether you enjoy white or red wine, sweet or dry, there are going to be an abundance of wonderful tastings available this weekend!
