The Shoreglass Wine Room, located on 118th Street in Ocean City, is a casual and exciting new business that we highly recommend for our wine connoisseurs out there! Chef and Owner, Robert Minger, and his wife ventured to the Eastern Shore this past August from Ohio where he gained experience in hospitality at a golf club near the city of Cleveland. This particular golf club hosted monthly wine dinners for their Members where Minger gained wine knowledge from the wine distributors and winemakers.
Themed wine dinners are only a small fraction of what the Shoreglass Wine Room can do. Their approach to wine service is very relaxed and casual. Minger and his wife wanted to offer a venue in town where someone could simply enjoy a variety of wines by the glass paired with made-from-scratch menu items. Some of the menu items you can expect on Minger’s rotating menu include Antipasto, Charcuterie, Cheese Boards, Smoked Salmon Dip and more. Minger is dedicated to preparing homemade ingredients for his menu offerings by smoking the salmon, roasting the nuts, and creating fresh salad dressings all in-house. The wine list is also very approachable including sixteen wines by the glass. Minger and his team are always on hand for those who have questions regarding the wine that they offer.
Open seven days a week (4:00 pm on most days and 3:00 pm on Saturdays), the Shoreglass Wine Room offers lounge-style seating in addition to high top tables for groups of two to eight. They also offer daily happy hour specials that include selected wines by the glass for $5.00 and $5.00 food specials. If you’re not sure which wines you favor most, you can order a sample pour of four different wines to taste.
The Shoreglass Wine Room is also the perfect location for your next event, whether you’re planning a holiday party, birthday celebration, retirement party or more, this venue will comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests.
