The year’s most anticipated running event is right around the corner. On April 20th through the 22nd the 2018 Coastal Delaware Running Festival will be back in town! The festival is best known for the beautiful scenic routes taken through quaint historic towns, oceanfront boardwalk views, as well as lakes, bays, and trails. It is currently on trend to becoming Coastal Delaware’s largest running event and was even voted as Best Marathon by Trip Advisor.

The festival is a RRCA Champion event and is Boston Marathon certified qualifying distance. However do not be intimidated, these races are highly recommended to beginners and a veterans as the 5Ks and 9Ks are walker friendly.

There are multiple racing events throughout the weekend which are as follows:

  • Fort Miles Challenge:
  • 5K Saturday
  • Half Marathon Sunday
  • Tower Challenge
  • 5K Saturday
  • Full Marathon Sunday
  • Marathon (26.2) and Half Marathon (13.1) on Sunday

New for 2018 is that all Sunday races will start and finish on the Rehoboth Boardwalk at Rehoboth Avenue.

On both days there will be post-race live entertainment and complimentary beer for those 21 and over. Participants have the chance to receive free race photos and some awesome swag including gender specific t-shirts for 9K, Half, and Full Marathons. There will also be Big Finisher medals for Full, Half, 9K and 5 K as well as a special gift for all 9K, half and full marathoners!
