Peninsula Regional Nutrition and Diabetes Education will present a “Diabetes Medications” Talk, given by Dr. Jack Snitzer, on November 12.
This free educational event at the Avery W. Hall Educational Center in Salisbury will begin at 5:30 pm with exhibits from companies involved in diabetes care. Dr. Snitzer will present at 7 pm for approximately an hour. His discussion will reach topics of what to do for surgeries, procedures, fasting and special diets. Dr. Snitzer is an endocrinologist with Peninsula Regional Endocrinology and Diabetes in Salisbury.
Dr. Snitzer received his medical degree from Philidelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice for over 20 years.
Unfortunately, diabetes affects nearly 10 percent of our adult population in the local area (higher in Sussex and Worcester). It’s a topic that needs to be discussed! Millions of people around the world live with diabetes or know someone living with diabetes. The Diabetes Education Program at Peninsula Regional Health Center offers a comprehensive program of group and individual educational sessions for people with diabetes. The Diabetes Self-Management Program meets the criteria and is recognized by the American Diabetes Association, and the program is made up of certified diabetes educators, nurses, and registered dietitians.
