It always seems impossible until it’s done. This is something that we’ve been telling ourselves since we started our fitness resolutions for the new year. You never know what you’re capable of until you try. Well for this week’s article in our workout series, we attended a Total Body Conditioning class at World Gym in Bethany Beach, DE. This class will leave you drenched in sweat.

If you’re looking for a full body workout incorporating strength training in every muscle group you could imagine, this full body conditioning class is for you. Not only will you build strength but it definitely tests your endurance. This class consists of 13 different stations where you will work out to motivating and pump-you-up music. The stations consist of different exercises including burpees, kettlebell swings, crunches, frog jumps, squats and so much in between.

Each station lasted for a minute and 35 seconds and you got a 12 second break in between. There were three rounds of 13 stations. That probably doesn’t sound fun at all but total body conditioning classes usually burn more calories than others. Working every part of the body and giving you a great source of cardio – your heart will be racing in minutes. The great thing is everyone is doing it with you! Although they’re at different stations, they are doing the same workouts you are. Being around your peers in this class makes you even more motivated to keep going.

The instructor, Jen Dieste, was motivating us as well. She would visit every once in awhile to make sure you were completing the workouts properly and would tell us to modify it as we wished. This was our first time to participate in a conditioning class and we are warning you, if it’s your first time, take it easy! Don’t push yourself too hard, but push yourself enough to get a quality workout. You will definitely feel it the next day.

Find what works for you and what doesn’t. This class is appropriate for all ages, you have to start somewhere, right? For more information about membership and class opportunities like this one, visit worldgymbethany.com or call 302-539-8282.
