The Sussex County Habitat for Humanity will proudly open the Lewes ReStore on March 4, 2017. The new ReStore will be located in the former home of Practically Yours Antiques on Route 9. The Lewes ReStore will sell inexpensive, gently used building materials that were donated by individuals and businesses around the Eastern Shore. Nearly half of current ReStore donors are residents and businesses in Lewes, Rehoboth, and other beach communities.

Sussex County Habitat for Humanity is seeking Grand Opening Celebration honoring sponsors, local individuals, and volunteers to help support the Habitat’s mission. There are various sponsorship opportunities to show your company’s support for this mission and here’s how:

$5,000 Peak Sponsor: The peak of the roof is the essential enclosure that will help keep an entire home dry, safe and warm.

$2,500 Rafter Sponsor: This is very necessary for the structural integrity of the house. The rafters support and frame the roof on the home.

$1,000 Frame Sponsor: The frames form the walls giving a home shape, structure, and individuality

$500 Joist Sponsor: Joists and frames create the sturdy living spaces of the home.

$250 Foundation Sponsor: The foundation is a very important component to building a home. Built with tons and tons of blocks, the foundations supports the full weight of the home.

$150 Community Sponsor: Community neighbors and friends embrace and support families who live in habitat homes.

If you want to come out and support the new Lewes ReStore there are some great opportunities for you and your business. On Thursday, March 2, Sussex County Habitat for Humanity will host a celebration honoring sponsors, volunteers and loyal patrons who donate to this great cause.

Your company’s logo will be displayed on the donor banner that will be seen by more than 1,300 monthly visitors through June 2017 and sponsors who are contributing $1,000 or more will also be honored on the permanent donor wall. Not only are these great opportunities for your company but by being a ReStore sponsor, you too will help build stability, strength and self-reliance through shelter.

If you or your business are not interested in becoming a sponsor, we still highly recommend checking out the Lewes ReStore after it opens. Not only are they more than happy to accept your donations of old appliances and home goods (let’s be honest, what are you going to do with that old couch, anyways?), but they have some great items available for sale. The ShoreBread team has visited other locations previously and we always easily scout out more than one item we can’t leave without.
