Initially, the Shorebread staff thought this weekend was going to be used for rest and relaxation, and that there was nothing happening in Delmarva. We thought it was going to be one of those weekends where everyone is anxious to get outside, enjoy the weather, and kick back. We were wrong. Socially speaking, there are lots of awesome things to check out! Here are a few Shorebread suggestions:

Happy Hour with Steve
The Stephen Falck Foundation, Inc. is holding a happy hour fundraiser to provide support for Steve Falck. Falck is a Berlin local who was diagnosed in 2009 with Multiple Systems Atrophy. He is a surfer, girl's lacrosse coach, builder, friend, father, and husband. There is no known treatment for the rare, progressive neurodegenerative disorder. The foundation hopes that, through fundraising, they can further medical research for this disease. The happy hour benefit will take place at the Bonfire Restaurant in Ocean City from 4 – 7 pm. Tickets are $20 and are available at The Nest in Berlin or at Malibu’s Surf Shop in OC.

Worcester Prep’s Fiddler on the Roof
Students from Worcester Prep will be performing their rendition of Fiddler of the Roof at 7 pm and 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday evening. The play will take place in Worcester Prep’s Athletic & Performing Arts Center on the school campus. It is suggested that attendees park in the lots off of Buckingham Lane or in the Main Street parking lot nearby then walk to the Performing Arts Center located in the back of the school. The students have spent weeks rehearsing and are excited to finally premier the show. Tickets can be purchased in advanced by calling Debbie Whiteman (410.641.3575) for $10 or at the door for $12.
