Drake Owen Dè la Rosa was born on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at 7:59 a.m., making him the first baby born at Peninsula Regional Medical Center this year. Drake’s mother, Patty Miller of Salisbury, says Drake waited a few days past his December 30 due date to earn this distinction. More than 2,000 babies are born at PRMC each year.
Along with a memorable birthday, Drake earned a gift basket filled with baby necessities and goodies courtesy of the Junior Auxiliary Board at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Junior Auxiliary Board President Cynthia Holloway presented the basket on Tuesday.
The Junior Auxiliary Board, in 2013, is celebrating its 89th year of service to the physicians, staff and volunteers of Peninsula Regional Medical Center and the people of the Delmarva Peninsula. Since 1924, it has donated over $8,000,000 to expansion projects, medical equipment, supplies and services at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
