Tickets for this year’s 11th Annual Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off are on sale now, and after selling out each of the last two years, Cambridge Main Street executive director Brandon Hesson is suggesting local residents get their tickets soner rather than later. This year, Taste of Cambridge will take place on July 11 form 5-10 p.m.

“Some of these restaurants literally come in with a lifetime of experience cooking one of the world’s premier ingredients, the Maryland Bue Crab,” said Hesson. “It isn’t unrealistic to think that we are eating world class food in the streets of Cambridge during Taste of Cambridge, and people interested in great food are starting to take notice.”

This year’s Taste of Cambridge will feature fun for the whole family, live music, a children’s fun zone and the crab-picking contest featuring the best from area picking houses. Each year, taste of Cambridge is held on the second Saturday of July to recognize the hard-working heritage of the Eastern Shore waterman as chefs compete to make the best Cream of Crab Soup, Maryland Vegetable Crab Soup, Crab Dip, Crab Cake and unique Crab specialty.
