Chances are your weekend is going one of two ways: You’re either on the trick or treat route with the kiddos or you are donning your most creative costume and hitting the local bar scene or costume party. Of course there is always the option for none of the above, which is where terrific events like the St. Michaels OysterFest come into play. Whether you are in the Halloween spirit or not, there is plenty of mischief to be had this weekend…take a look at the weekend happenings!

Wine on the Beach

When: Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31

Where: Inlet Parking Lot, Ocean City

What: Wine enthusiasts will flock to the Inlet Parking Lot in Ocean City this Friday and Saturday for the 19th Annual Wine on the Beach celebration. Featuring the wineries from the East Coast, the event is the perfect chance to sample new wines or to re-discover old favorites. The event will also include micro-brews, Delmarva cuisine, arts and crafts vendors, and live music. Tickets are $35 and include one-day admission, a commemorative wine glass, and wine tasting sample coupons.

Beach Bounce Grand Opening

When: Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1

Where: Beach Bounce, West Ocean City

What: In celebration of opening up shop, Beach Bounce is offering FREE jump for ages 2-12, all weekend long. Hours are as follows: Friday, 10am-8pm; Satruday, 10am-8pm; Sunday, noon-6pm.

Paint Night Pizza Party

When: Friday, October 30, 6:30pm-8:30pm

Where: Red Doors Community Center, Ocean City

What: Drop the kids off for pizza and a night of painting!  Participants will work with Salisbury University Art Department faculty member Evan Fitzgerald to create an autumn harvest landscape painting on canvas with step by step guidance.  Dinner is included! Suggested age range is 2nd to 8th grade. Price is $35 per child.

Halloween Happening at Wicomico Public Libraries

When: Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31

Where: Downtown Library, Centre Branch, Pittsville Branch

What: Downtown Library: Head to the Downtown Library on Friday for storytime, trick or treats, singing, dancing, and plenty of parading. This is for ages 0-5; 10:30am until 11:15am. Centre Branch: Crafts, snacks and games will be available at the Centre Branch from 2pm until 3:30pm on Saturday. Finally, the Pittsville Branch will celebrate Halloween from 5-8pm with a haunted library open to all ages.

Home & Condo Autumn Expo Show

When: Saturday, October 31, 10am-6pm; Sunday, November 1, 10am-4pm

Where: Ocean City Convention Center

What: The Autumn Home Show is an event designed for homeowners in all stages of remodeling, landscaping and decorating their homes.  Exhibitors will be on hand with merchandise, product demonstrations, and interior and exterior displays.  With a combination of new products and advice from the pros, the Home Show inspires homeowners with ideas on enhancing their home’s comfort and functionality, as well as aesthetic appeal and overall value. The Art and Craft Fair will offer a wide assortment of creative and unique gifts and accessories made by artists and quality crafts people from near and far.

Ocean Pines Halloween Fall Festival

When: Saturday, October 31, 1pm-4pm

Where: White Horse Park, Ocean Pines

What: Dress up the family and head to White Horse Park for lots of Halloween fun! Music, costume contests, carnival games, face painting, arts and crafts, pony rides, moon bounces, a haunted hay ride, refreshments and candy will all be included in the festivities, along with a pumpkin carving contest and a Anything Pumpkin Cook/Bake Off.

St. Michaels OysterFest

When: Saturday, October 31, 10am-4pm

Where: Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum celebrates one of our beloved local delicacies with a full day of oysters, oysters and more oysters. The lineup includes live music on two stages, an oyster stew competition, boat rides, retriever demonstrations, oysters (duh), and cooking demonstrations. And since it’s Halloween, enjoy a costume contest as well.
