Yes, you read that correctly. Yes, it is only June. However, the Rehoboth Beach Main Street is in search of an evergreen for its annual “Holiday Tree Lighting and Sing-a-long”. Now, it may seem a little early for a holiday tree, but when you are searching for that perfect tree, it takes a little time. Organizers of this year’s event are hoping to find a 30-45 ft. evergreen between the areas of Bethany and Broadkill Beach. Ideally, the larger than life tree should be a Spruce or Douglas Fir (no Leyland Cyprus, please).

If you think you have the right tree, and would like to donate it for the festivities this holiday season, just give the RBMS a call at 302-227-2772. The group will happily make arrangements to have the tree taken down and transported to the site when the time comes, and your generous donation will be recognized during the cherished annual event. For more information, contact the RBMS or visit their website at www.downtownrb.com. Happy tree hunting!
