New to America’s Coolest Small Town is Patty Jean’s Boutique located at 116 Broad Street in Berlin, MD. Housed in the first level of the Moore Building, you will find this quaint boutique featuring items hand-picked by owner, Megan Cosman.
“I like to have an eclectic mix of trendy and timeless pieces,” commented Cosman when asked about her preferred style. “I want our customers to feel pretty and comfortable at the same time.”
Originally from Kansas, Megan and her husband, Mike, relocated to the Eastern Shore when Mike was offered a culinary job in Ocean City. “The opportunity to move here was too good to pass up and this area has been so great for our family. The area businesses have been so supportive, too. The Berlin Chamber of Commerce is always helping us to promote Patty Jean’s and Sisters has allowed us to display a mannequin in their store. Bruder Hill mentions our store to their customers. It feels really good to have that level of support and we’re so appreciative.”
What began as an online business that could also be found at pop-up events around town, has now found a home in their own brick and mortar store. Upon entering Patty Jean’s Boutique, you will be greeted with beautiful prints and patterns. Lovely color palettes can be found in their collection of summer dresses and tops that can easily be worn for work or play. Patty Jean’s also features fun jewelry and shoes to pair with your purchase at a very affordable price.
And where does the business savvy come from? Megan’s Mom, who passed away when Megan was a young teenager and, unfortunately, cannot share this amazing adventure with her. Megan credits her Mom with her smarts in the fashion industry, as she was a Pattern Designer for Lee Jeans when Megan was a child. Research the Lee Brand from the 1980’s and you may stumble upon ads featuring Megan and her sisters as models for her Mom!
