In celebration of National Estuary Week, the Maryland Coastal Bays Program will host a “Best of the Bays” photo contest. To enter, simply snap a photo of your favorite spot on one of the areas rich coastal waterways between September 17th & September 24th to help mark the celebration of our National Estuary Week.
Select your favorite photo, and send it to the Coastal Bays office at mcbp@mdcoastalbays.org by Friday, September 9th, 2016 at 5:00 pm (all entries must be in .jpg format). To qualify, your image must be taken at one the following coastal bays: Assawoman, Isle of Wight, Sinepuxent, Chincoteague, and Newport Bays, and St. Martin River. Everyone who enters will receive a free Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) decal sticker.
Remember: only one entry is allowed per entrant, so pick your very best! The Top 7 entries will be posted on the MCBP’s Facebook page during National Estuary Week, and will receive t-shirts from MCBP. The best overall entry will be announced on Facebook Friday, September 23rd and will win a pre-owned canoe. Winners will be notified by September 17th via email.
Entries should include: Photographer’s name, email & phone number. Photos should also indicate which bay the image was taken in.
Please note: Participants release all rights to entered photos to Maryland Coastal Bays Program. One entry is allowed per participant. Prizes and stickers must be picked up at the Maryland Coastal Bays office located at 8219 Stephen Decatur Highway, Berlin MD 21811.
