Make your plans now for the 7th Annual “Paint Berlin” Plein Air event in Historic Berlin! The “Plein Air” art show and sale will take place September 22 – 24th, on the streets, sidewalks and green spaces in and around Historic Berlin. The phrase “plein air” is a French expression that simply means “in the open air,” and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view.
The Worcester County Arts Council is encouraging local and regional artists to spend some quality time in Berlin over one weekend, while creating plein air paintings of some of our scenic views and historical locations.
Visitors are encouraged to come and watch the artists at work throughout the weekend. The “Paint Berlin” event is a FREE event. The Arts Council will also host a “Wet Paint” sale and exhibit featuring artwork created during this event. The exhibit will be held at the Worcester County Arts Council Gallery located at 6 Jefferson Street beginning on Saturday, September 24 from 11 am – 3 pm. Paintings from the exhibit will be available for sale and remain on display until October 31.
Artists’ registration is currently open, but limited to the first 50 participants. So Register today! Artists will have an opportunity to network, exhibit and sell their artwork as well as compete for a very attractive cash prizes.
