Exciting things are happening all over the Eastern Shore this weekend. The circus is in town! Art Strolls are starting again after disappearing for a few weeks because of cold weather. The town of Lewes is going to the dogs and celebrating with Barkfest. Get thrifting and head to the Delaware’s largest garage sale on Saturday. Celebrating Valentine’s Day early? Go dancing in Millsboro. With so many things to see, do, and participate in – there’s no reason to stay home. Get out and get social! 

 
The greatest show on earth will be calling the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center home for a few days this weekend. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baily present ‘Barnum Bash’ – an amazing act that includes a circus party, wild feats of wonder and strength, and amazement. The circus has a free pre-show for ticketholders who would like to dance, try on glitzy costumes, try their shot at balancing, learn to juggle, or get a few photos with the show’s performers. Ticket prices are: $10 for children, $20 for adults or $35 for VIP Gold Seats.

The quaint shops, galleries, and restaurants of historic Berlin, MD will be open past regular hours in honor of Berlin’s 2nd Friday Art Stroll this week. Come stroll through the town on February 10th from 5 – 8 pm. Johns Premium Cigars will have art work by Tiffany Curtis and Crystal Collins, two local artists. On display at The Globe will be photography by Hearts Happen and jewelry by A Mermaid’s Purse and Kiki Burleigh. The Baked Dessert Café & Gallery will be showing the photography by Kristen Hooks. The Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center will be occupied by Jim Adcock as he welcomes guests to check out his most recent paintings. 
 
Put your pooch on a leash and take him or her to Barkfest this weekend. This fun, 2-day event takes place in historic Lewes, DE. Second Street is going to the dogs. Pups and their owners can hang out at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant while Valentine’s Day shoppers enjoy love-themed discounts and specials. ‘Yappy Hour’ at Irish Eyes runs from 5 -7 pm on Friday night. The bar will be serving specialty beverages like the ‘Mutt-ini’ and the ‘Cat-atonic’. On the search for a huge bargain? Plan to shop at the state’s largest indoor garage sale on Saturday, February 11th at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Hall. Merchants’ Attic will open promptly at 9:30 am; get their early because a line usually wraps around the building. Guests can shop from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm. There is no admission fee but donation will be accepted and delivered to the Chamber Event Fund. Vendors include Odysea, Josephine’s Daughter, The Pelican Loft and many more. Care to dance? Dance Moves and Manners will be hosting an introductory dance class on Sunday, February 12, 2012. The Cordrey Center, part of the East Coast Gardens, in Millsboro, DE will be decorated beautifully for the event. Light hors d'oeuvres and punch will be served and participants can bring their own beverages if they please. DJ-Wayne Faircloth will be playing swing, salsa, rumba, waltz, tango, cha cha, bachata, and merengue dance music. Lessons will be taught from 1:30 – 2:45 pm and dancing will continue until 5 pm. Tickets are $15 per person.
