Clear Space Theatre presents Shirley Valentine

Clear Space Theatre Company presents Shirley Valentine, live onstage this weekend. This one-woman show offers a comedic look at what could have been and what might still be. Shirley tells the tale of an English housewife who discovers a love for traveling. On Friday, September 28th, the public is invited to ‘pay what you can’. General admission to the theatre is regularly $30 per adult / $15 per child. Bring whatever cash you have in your pockets and donate it to the theatre in exchange for a fine performance. Say ‘I Do’ in Berlin

 
Say 'I Do' in Berlin is the town’s premier wedding event. The event has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 along Main Street and Broad Street. The outdoor wedding show will include over 30 vendors and offer displays of wedding-related products, services, and previews. Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show

 
The annual gem, mineral, and jewelry show is being held in Ocean City, MD this weekend. The Treasures of the Earth show includes estate, classic, handcrafted, and fashion jewelry. 14k and sterling silver jewelry, beads, pearls, and findings will be for sale next to crystals, minerals, and fossils. Jewelers and wire wrappers will be on site to design, remount, or repair jewelry. A gemologist will be present for jewelry and gemstone appraisals. The jewelry show takes place at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission is $4 per person. Print the coupon shown and save $1 per person.
 
 

Winefest on the Beach

 
The 17th annual Wine Fest at the beach, featuring wineries from the East Coast, micro-brewed beers, Delmarva cuisine, arts and crafts, and regional music takes place this weekend in Ocean City. Admission is $25 per person at the gate. A valid photo ID is mandatory. The admission price includes a commemorative wine glass and wine tasting and sampling coupons. Winefest takes place at the OC inlet.

Pink Paddle

 
Ayers Creek Adventures will be hosting the 3rd annual Pink Paddle on Saturday, September 29th from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. All proceeds raised will benefit Women Supporting Women: Worcester County and Komen for the Cure, a 3-day walk and Race for the Cure. Participants will enjoy a calm water paddle followed by a post-paddle party with food, prizes, and live music by Troy Mawyer. To register for the event, call Suzy or Steve at 888-602-6288. Screening of The Trip

 
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will be presenting a screening of the new documentary, The Trip, as part of their On Screen/In Person film tour. The tour brings filmmakers and films together in participating communities. The film has not been rated yet. The Trip will screen in the upstairs theater at the Movies at Midway, located in the Midway Shopping Center in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Showing takes place on Sunday, September 29th at 10 am. The cost to watch is $6. Tickets can be purchased at the Rehoboth Film website

Museum Day

 
The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum, located on the Ocean City boardwalk at the inlet, will offer free admission as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day.
