We’re kicking off the holiday season on ShoreBread! It’s time for holiday parties, shopping for gifts, spending time with loved ones, and becoming mesmerized by holiday light displays. We’re planning on bringing you the best holiday events taking place in Ocean City, Berlin, Salisbury, and surrounding areas this season. Check out a few events taking place in our communities this weekend:
Light Up Berlin
The Town of Berlin, MD will welcome the holiday season by covering Main Street in dazzling holiday lights. The Mayor will flip the switch and turn on all of the twinkling lights at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 23rd. A celebration will take place in front of the Atlantic Hotel beginning at 5 pm and ending at 8 pm. Berlin art galleries, restaurants, businesses, shops, and bars will extend their regular hours for the event.
Winterfest of Lights
Winterfest of lights kicked off earlier this week and will remain open nightly for the rest of the holiday season! Take a ride through the animated wonderland of lights known as the ‘Winterfest Express’. The giant lighted displays include the 12 Days of Christmas and favorite fairy tales. The Winterfest Village offers warm beverages and Ocean City gifts. Santa is available for photos ever night until December 23rd. Winterfest of Lights is located in Northside Park on 125th Street, bayside. Hours of operation are 5:30 to 10:30 pm.

Holiday Shopper’s Fair
The Roland E. Powell Convention Center has been transformed into a holiday shopper’s paradise. Unique hand-made items, beachy décor, photos, flower arrangements, ceramics, jewelry, and other items will be for sale by artisans. Children can visit Santa during the event. The Holiday Shopper’s Fair – on 40th Street, Ocean City, bayside – takes place on Friday and Saturday (hours of operation are 10 am to 5 pm) as well as Sunday (10 am to 4 pm).
Light Up Downtown OC
Downtown Ocean City, MD will be covered in holiday lights come Saturday evening. On November 24th, downtown OC will hold their annual lighting ceremony at Sunset Park. Holiday music and dance performance are scheduled to take place each Friday and Saturday night throughout the holiday season at 5:30 pm. Join in on the seasonal fun at South Division Street for the The Light Up Downtown Celebration in Sunset Pak.
