On June 16, national recording artists, The Green, will perform  a live, free performance at Seacrets in Ocean City. The Oahu, Hawaii based band joins Rebelution on the “Count Me In” Summer Tour starting June 11 in New York City, with the tour concluding on August 23 at Reggae on the Rocks in Colorado.

The Green  released their third studio album, Hawaii 13, last August with Easy Star Records. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Reggae Chart, #1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart and #77 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The band also holds bragging rights to several music awards including, Reggae Album of the Year at the 2014 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Album of the Year at the 2013 Pier Awards, and AllMusic’s Favorite Reggae Album of 2013 list. The Green also opened for Bruno Mars for three sold-out concerts in Honolulu this past April.

The Green formed in 2009, with ambitions to provide a musical outlet for its six members. According to The Green’s website, the album includes an eclectic mix of lovers rock, heavy roots workouts, smooth R&B ballads, roots reggae pop hybrids and herb anthems.
