Sunfest has always been one of our favorite events of the year. Each September, Ocean City throws the annual fall festival complete with a headlining band (most often one of country’s hottest performers), sinful foods we crave year round, and the season’s most popular crafts. Nothing screams fall more than Sunfest, we promise. However, this year is a little different. Sunfest is celebrating its 40th anniversary!
In addition, hundreds of demonstrating artists will be there to entertain you and discuss their creations as you peruse through the iconic tents. This year, over 30 food vendors are scheduled to set up featuring a smorgasbord of famous Eastern Shore cookin’, BBQ, gyros, Asian delicacies, fried everything and more including our personal favorite, oyster fritters. While you’re there, enjoy free entertainment on two stages each and every day. The best part about Sunfest is the fact that it’s free admission… you can enjoy all the festival has to offer without paying a dime. Stroll the tents and taste samples… or just browse the arts and crafts. All entertainment is free except for the headlining acts which start at 8:00PM Thursday, September 18th.

LOCAL TIPS:
- We suggest taking the Park & Ride. It’s $1!! You can’t beat it… plus no worrying about parking, drinking and driving, etc…
- Bring cash! Skip the ATM fees and take some cash. With all the food you’ll be wanting to eat, cold beer and fabulous crafts… it will be so much easier to just have some on you!
- Stay for the free music! Some of our favorite local performers are there to give you a free show. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the amazing talent.
- Bring a jacket. With temperatures still mind-blowingly hot this week, September will still surprise you. Bring a jacket as the wind might pick up in and around the inlet and temps always drop as the sun goes down.
