It seems a bit odd to be celebrating Easter in March (and so soon after St. Patrick’s Day) but that’s how the calendar played out this year. We’ll be bidding farewell to the month of March this weekend while we hunt for Easter eggs, snap a few pictures of the kids with the Easter Bunny, and dig into an Easter feast. But before we get to Easter brunch, lunch and dinner, we’ve decided to round up the Easter Celebrations and Easter Egg Hunts on Delmarva, from Dewey Beach to Easton and everywhere in between. Berlin, Salisbury, Ocean City, Lewes, Ocean Pines…all of our local towns are hosting Easter Celebrations, with local businesses joining in the fun as well. Take a look at what’s happening for the kids this weekend on Delmarva:

Berlin Easter Celebration

When: Saturday, March 26, 10am-5pm

Where: Main Street, Berlin

What: Berlin’s annual Spring Celebration may not be until April 9th, but that doesn’t mean the Town of Berlin is passing up the chance to celebrate Easter with the kids. The Berlin merchants have joined forces to offer an Easter Saturday family-fun day, including breakfast with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, games, and more. The activities begin at Rayne’s Reef for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. There are three seatings – 9am, 10am, and 8am (if needed), with a cost of $8 for adults and $6 for kids. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, and a beverage. After breakfast, join the Easter Bunny for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11am. The egg hunt will take place on Commerce Street next to Victorian Charm with a division for ages 4 and under and another for ages 5 and up. The day will also include the Easter Bonnet Parade and Contest (to follow the egg hunt at the same location), as well as kids games and activities at various businesses throughout town.

Ocean Pines Easter/Spring Celebration

When: Saturday, March 26, 11am-2pm

Where: Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks

What: In Ocean Pines, enjoy a fun-filled day for the whole family, including egg hunts, an Easter bonnet contest, pony rides, cake walks, crafts, face painting, moon bounce, and food and treats. Some attractions may have a small fee but general admission is free for the event. Attendees area also encouraged to bring individually wrapped Easter candy to the Community Center.

Sunset Grille Easter Weekend Extravaganza

When: Friday, March 25-Sunday, March 27

Where: Sunset Grille, West Ocean City

What: Sunset Grille is celebrating the upcoming holiday all weekend-long, with egg hunts, the Easter Bunny, brunch and more. Friday night, kids eat free! What’s more, kids can get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny starting at 4pm. Saturday, arrive for brunch (starting at 10am) and see the Easter Bunny, dye eggs, and join in the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2pm. Sunday, there’s Easter brunch starting at 10am, followed by Easter lunch and dinner later in the day. Call 410-213-8110 for reservations.

Tail Bangers 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs & Kids

When: Saturday, March 26, 11am

Where: Tail Bangers, Millsboro, Delaware

What: Tail Bangers will host their 2nd Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs & Kids this weekend, which includes fun for both your kids and your furr-kids. Dogs hunt for $10 and kids hunt for free, with all proceeds to be donated to Saved Souls Animal Rescue. Donations of collars, leashes, dog bowls, blankets, and dog toys are welcome as well. Sign-up begins at 10am with the egg hunts to follow at 11am. All dogs will leave with a one-pound bag of dog treats and a Tail Bangers bandana. Kids can enjoy a tour of the bakery, along with the chance to decorate and cut out dog treats with the bakers. Food, drinks, bakery tours and more! Fun for the WHOLE family.

1st Annual Iron Horse Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 26, 2pm

Where: The Iron Horse, Willards

What: The Iron Horse, our new favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Willards, is hosting their 1st Easter Egg Hunt this weekend, inviting kids ages 12 and under to join them starting at 2pm. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and most eggs found. There will also be a grand prize drawing at the end of the hunt. The Iron Horse will also be staying open until 4pm so enjoy plenty of delicious coffee treats, baked goods, and lunch items.

Easter Kids’ Fun Fair and Arts & Crafts Show

When: Friday, March 25 & Saturday, March 26

Where: Ocean City Convention Center

What: Bring your kids to the Ocean City Convention Center this weekend for the Easter Kids’ Fun Fair, which includes continuous activities, games, contest, and entertainment, as well as Beany the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts, magic, juggling, puppet shows and more. The event will also include an Arts & Crafts Show with unique handcrafted items including wearable art, jewelry, lawn and garden décor, florals, fine art, and more.

Hippity Hoppity Hayride with the Easter Bunny

When: Saturday, March 26 & Sunday, March 27

Where: Ocean City Boardwalk

What: If you’re in Ocean City this weekend, there’s also the option to take a hayride with the Easter Bunny! Horse-drawn hayrides will take place along the Boardwalk from the Inlet near Thrasher’s, around the pier to the Boardwalk, up to North Division Street, and back. Cost is $10 per person; ages 3 and under ride for free. Contact 443-783-1409 for more information and to make reservations.

Egg-Case Hunt at Cape Henlopen State Park

When: Saturday, March 26, 11am

Where: Cape Henlopen State Park, Seaside Nature Center

What: Let your kids enjoy a different take on the traditional Easter egg hunt with an egg-case hunt at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes. For ages 5 and under, the educational event is free, taking kids on a hunt for some real coastal treasures on the beach like whelk and skate egg cases. Pre-registration is recommended by calling 302-645-6852.

Georgetown’s 16th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 26, 11am-1pm

Where: Nutter Marvel Carriage Museum, Georgetown

What: Kids ages 12 and under are invited to search for over 6,000 candy-filled eggs that will be hidden on the museum grounds in Georgetown. The egg hunts will be free and for an additional $3 kids can enjoy unlimited bounces on the moon bounce, face painting, and rides on Lil’ Toot the Train. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos, which are presented in a Easter frame for $5. The event will also include a puppet show, Peter Rabbit’s Misadventures in Farmer McGregor’s Garden, performed by the Sussex County Master Gardeners.

Downtown Easton Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 26, 10am-12pm

Where: Talbot County Courthouse

What: Easter egg hunts, crafts, and games will dominate Downtown Easton on Saturday as the Easton Business Alliance presents the Downtown Easton Easter Egg Hunt. The free event will include two egg hunts, the first for ages infant to 4 at 10am and the second for ages 5 to 10 at 10:30am. Stick around after for shopping, dining, and sightseeing in historic Easton!

Dewey Egg Scoop

When: Saturday, March 26, 11am-1pm

Where: Dagsworthy Beach, Dewey

What: Free photos with the Easter Bunny, games, music, fun for all ages, three egg hunts…what’s not to love about this free Easter event in Dewey Beach!? The Dewey Business Partnership is hosting the Dewey Egg Scoop, which includes no registration and free parking. Three egg hunts will take place: 5 and under at 11:15, 6- to 8-year-olds at 11:45, and 9- to 11-year-olds at 12:15.

Lewes Canalfront Park Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 26, 10am

Where: Lewes Canalfront Park

What: In Lewes, families will enjoy the annual Easter Celebration at the Lewes Canalfront Park this weekend, which will include pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, balloon artists, springtime music, hidden eggs filled with treats, and other fun surprises. The event is $5 per child and recommended for children under the age of 10. You can reserve online at www.lewescanalfrontpark.org.

Mini Downtown SBY Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, April 2, 4pm

Where: Downtown Salisbury

What: Join the 1st Saturday April celebration on April 2nd for a full day of family fun, including the Miniature SBY Egg hunt at 4pm. Last year, kids hunted down 30,000 eggs and this year the goal is set for 35,000 eggs, each filled with coupons and special offers from SBY businesses, candy, and prizes. The Egg Hunt will take place at Remedy Church on Main Street & South Division Street.
