But within the first few hours of the new year four different families welcomed their bundles of pride and joy into this wonderful world. Tiny little tots were welcomed by some local hospitals we all know and love on the Eastern Shore.
The first baby at Beebe Healthcare Medical Center in Lewes, DE, Caleb Midash, was born at 11:26 a.m. on January 1, 2017. Proud parents John and Heather Midash welcomed their first baby boy to their family. The happy family was presented with a gift basket full of goodies like baby clothes, diapers, and other supplies. Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD also had a first baby of 2017 who was born only 45 minutes after the ball dropped! Parents, Redeline and Faustin Forestal, proudly welcomed their third child, Beethoven, on January 1, 2017. Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, DE welcomed their first baby of 2017 at 2:16 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Proud parents Naitile and Ernest Joseph-Bazil gave birth to Neicha Tamar Ella Joseph who weighed 7 pounds, 2.4 ounces, and measured 19 ½ inches long. Congratulations to the happy family! Only a few hours after we rung in the New Year, Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE welcomed a healthy baby girl, Madison Blake Skeels. This baby girl came into the world at 4:26 a.m on January 1, 2017. The mother of the newborn was granted with a gift basket full of baby items purchased by Nanticoke Mother and Baby Center.
