Across Delmarva this weekend motorcyclists will rejoice. Bikers will be cruising up and down the coast; riding from hotspot to restaurant, from restaurant to bar, from bar to business, and then most likely to the inlet parking lot for OC BikeFest. To most who attend, Bike Week consists of 120 straight hours of motors, entertainment, and fun.
It’s estimated that more than 120,000 motorcycling enthusiasts will travel to Delmarva to participate in Bike Week activities. Bikes to the Beach, OC BikeFest, and Delmarva Bike Week all simultaneously occur during the 3rd weekend of September.
One Ocean City business is expecting to see a large amount bikers hanging out this weekend.
“We see thousands of amazing bikes over a five-day period at Dead Freddies, including some incredible custom-built bikes,” said Jay Bosley, a partner in Dead Freddies.
For the past 3 years, Dead Freddies (located bayside on 64th Street and Coastal Highway), has been a must-stop location for motorcyclists headed into Ocean City while participating in Bikes to the Beach.
The Steel Scene is a regional Delmarva-focused online magazine dedicated to motorcycle enthusiasts. Working side-by-side with Dead Freddies, they take over the 64th Street parking lot to bring some of the best vendors, entertainment, and bands to Ocean City during Bike Week.
“We have quality vendors, delicious food, and great entertainment all weekend long at Dead Freddies during Bike Week,” said Jay Bosley, a partner of Dead Freddies.
The Steel Scene will be doing giveaways, conducting raffles, holding fun contests, and will even have models present for photo shoots with guests’ bikes while Dead Freddies will be providing great entertainment, drinks, and delicious food.
Iron Angel Customs will be set up outside of Dead Freddies, too. Iron Angel Customs is an all-inclusive customization and service shop that caters to both male and female riders. Iron Angel has produced some of the neatest, completely customized bikes seen in Ocean City year after year. Dawn Morris, co-owner of Iron Angel with her husband, encourages women to have their bikes customized complete to their body. Iron Angel Customs can build motorcycles that are lower to the ground and required a shorter reach – better fit to women than any stock motorcycle available on the market.
Additional vendors who will be set up outside of Dead Freddies:
- Throttle City Mobile Dyno: Professional power tests for all motorcycles. Delivering a diagnostic read-out and consultation from Delmarva motorcycle experts.
- Pocono Mountain Leather: Providing leather goods to wear and add to your bike. Selling leather jackets, boots, pants, and more.
- MCS Lighting: Top-of-the-line LED installation for motorcycling at night.
- Kat’s Biker Apparel: Giving the biker ladies something to talk about. Unique items for women who love motorcycles.
- Custom Tattoo Apparel: Selling gear and one-of-a-kind t-shirts.
