Valentine’s Day is just a few days away here in Ocean City, MD, and for the resort town that means President’s Day Weekend is on the horizon as well. The dual-holiday weekend not only marks an excuse to enjoy a romantic evening out in OCMD, but it also means that several of our favorite local businesses will be re-opening for the season. Dining specials, local events, hotel packages…what’s not to love about the upcoming weekend in Ocean City?? To make the planning a little easier on you all, we’ve partnered with our friends at ExploreOC and Visit Ocean City to highlight a few of the best deals and happenings for Valentine’s Day in Ocean City.
Culinary Treats
Longboard Café – 6701 Coastal Highway
Our friends at Longboard Café will be re-opening for the season after a brief winter hiatus, and they are celebrating their return AND Valentine’s Day with a four-course, prix-fix Valentine’s Weekend menu. Available February 12, 13 and 14, the prix-fix menu is $39 per person and includes several options for guests to choose from, including your choice of veal porterhouse, split lobster tail, or sliced tenderloin for the main course. 32 Palm – Located at 32nd Street in the Hilton Hotel
Whether you are staying at the Hilton this weekend or looking for a romantic place to dine, 32 Palm is ready to serve you with a fantastic selection of Sweetheart Specials. Starters include lobster bisque, marinated ahi tuna, oyster imperial, and creole shrimp and grits, with entrees ranging from the broiled seafood platter to spiced rum and mango pork chops. Finish up with the dessert special – fried pumpkin and strawberry cheesecake. Sweetheart Specials will be served in addition to the regular menu; call 410-289-2525 for reservations.
The Shark on the Harbor – 12924 Sunset Avenue, West Ocean City
Dining against the backdrop of The Shark’s winning harbor view is reason enough to make a Valentine’s Day reservation at The Shark, but they’ve also sweetened the deal with a complimentary champagne toast for your Valentine’s Dinner! 45th Street Taphouse – 4501 Coastal Highway
For a romantic dinner with bay views and Valentine’s Day specials, head to the 45th Street Taphouse. Their Valentine’s Weekend Menu includes several options, starting with appetizers of shrimp & grits, oysters on the half shell, and a baked crab dip bread bowl. For entrees, choose between broiled crab cakes, smoked prime rib, heart shaped ravioli, and pan-seared halibut. And for the sweeter part of the evening, desserts include chocolate trans porter covered strawberries, red velvet cheesecake brownie a la mode, or chocolate bread pudding.
Horizons – 10100 Coastal Highway, Ocean City
For guests spending their weekend at the Clarion Resort – or for those of you looking for a fantastic prix-fix menu – Horizons is celebrating Valentine’s Day (Sunday; 5pm-10pm) with two courses for $30 or three courses for $35. The full menu is available online, but we’ve got our eye on the oyster chowder with truffle oil drizzle, rustic lobster pot pie, and the black forest cake.
For some of us, a romantic dinner or evening out is nothing compared to getting showered with sweet treats on Valentine’s Day. Some opt for flowers while others go the route of chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. Dolle’s Candyland will be offering all sorts of sweets for Valentine’s Day, including chocolates, caramels, fudge, gummies, and of course, plenty of their famous taffy.
Yummy! Sweetshop – 8201 Coastal Highway
We’re not done with the sweet treats just yet; after all, our friends at Yummy! Sweetshop are baking up a storm for the holiday of love. Chocolate-covered strawberries, cupid cakes, cheesecakes, cake pops, and their inventive line up cupcakes will all be available this weekend, so stop in and score a sweet batch for your loved one…or for yourself!

Couple’s Spa Treatment at Creative Day Spa
Relax and unwind this Valentine’s Day with a couple’s spa service at Creative Day Spa. On February 13 and 14, all couple’s spa services will include a complimentary bottle of red wine and chocolates. Couple’s spa service includes massages, body wraps, and facials.
Horse & Carriage Rides on the Boardwalk
The weather forecast is looking particularly chilly this weekend, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still bundle up for a romantic horse & carriage ride along the Boardwalk in Ocean City. The price is $40 per couple and includes a box of chocolates, a rose, and a glass of bubbly for the ride. Rides are reservation only (call 443-783-1409) and are available Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 5pm.
The Oyster Garden – Fager’s Island, 60th Street
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day Weekend than with overindulgence in an aphrodisiac…oysters! That’s right, it’s the 3rd Annual Oyster Garden at Fager’s Island. This Saturday from noon until 4pm, learn about local oyster cultivation while enjoying all-you-can-eat oysters and select craft beers from Evo and Flying Dog. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door.
Seacrets ‘Love in the Country’ – 49th Street
Seacrets will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Sunday with Love in the Country, featuring a country-style menu along with raw bar specials all day long, half-price jerk chicken, onion rings and Jamaican fries from 4-7pm, and half-price entrees from 5-10pm. Live entertainment will start at 1pm with the 19th Street Band and PhilBilly.

Dunes Manor – Sweet & Spicy Valentine’s Day Weekend
Book your stay at the Dunes Manor in Ocean City this weekend and enjoy their Sweet & Spicy Valentine’s Day Weekend special. The package (which is $429) includes two nights’ accommodations for Friday, Feb 12 to Sunday, Feb 14, a five-course gourmet dinner for two on Saturday night, and salsa and bachata dance lessons on Saturday afternoon in the Ballroom Lounge.
